Night Out Against Crime

Our annual “Night Out Against Crime” is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16, 2012.

This event is hosted at the Driftwood Park Country Club and features desserts, drinks and visits from the local police department.

Make sure your set your calendars and bring the whole family for a “Night Out Against Crime!”

Crime is an unwanted reality of the world we live in today. Unfortunately, burying your head in the sand and pretending it doesn’t exist won’t make it go away. What can we do collectively to combat it? We must all be vigilant and take a firm stance against it. Don’t just talk about it, DO IT! NOW MORE THAN EVER, WE NEED TO KEEP OUR EYES PEELED AND LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER. Today’s criminals are no longer hiding under the cover of nightfall. They are striking out at us in broad daylight. Don’t allow your home, vehicle or business to be an easy target. They have no respect for anyone or regard for you or your children’s lives. Please use this opportunity to meet new neighbors and educate your children on crime prevention as they meet McGruff the crime dog and interact with our officers. If, for some reason, you are unable to attend, please make the time to introduce yourself and exchange phone numbers with your neighbors. Especially those who’s properties touch yours. You never know, this may keep you from turning into another statistic. From young ages, we have all been taught, “Dont Talk to Strangers”, but you and the neighbors closest to you shouldn’t be strangers.

TOGETHER WE ARE ALL MORE POWERFUL AND STRONGER AS ALLIES.

Reach out and stay Safe,

Angel
